Originally a native of Southeast Alabama, Dr. Jackson received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.
His internship and residency in internal medicine was served at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where upon he also completed his Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Jackson is certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Alabama Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Houston County Medical Society, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
Dr. Jackson currently serves as the Medical Director of the GI Endoscopy Lab of Flowers Hospital. He is also the author of professional presentations and research pages on subjects related to the specialty of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Jackson and his wife, Melissa, have three children.
